Howdy! My name is Zachary Casull and I'm a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie class of 2010! I'm taking this class because I hope one day to be a game designer or software engineer, and I feel learning this subject will help me to understand how to create a successful user interface. I bring to this class the programming experience I have achieved through my other computer science classes at Texas A&M as well as my job as a web developer. I feel that the next big breakthrough in computer science will be a continuance of the technology that went into the XBox Kinect that will allow any computer program or simulation to be run through human gestures. If I could travel back in time, I would really like to meet a caveman, because I think it would be interesting to see where we have evolved from. My favorite shoes are tennis shoes because they take you everywhere you need to go and still look good. In a computer science field, I think it would be highly beneficial to be fluent in Japanese since much of our technology is shared with Japan.
I really like the idea of meeting a caveman. I am always surprised at how many good ideas existed so very long ago. The difficulty would be in communication given that the languages would be different. But I supposed if we have time travel, we probably also have Babelfish...
